Dinner Party at the Rents!
My parents had a little dinner party for me, my sister, and our significant others at the end of the summer. We had lots of wine and really good food. So of course I took a few detail pictures of the evening. Wish I could go back to that night, it was such a fun beautiful summer night on the deck with family!

Handmade Cards
My Major at Concordia - St. Paul was Studio Arts and my minor was photography. I loved all my classes and loved being creative everyday! It is so much harder to continue to create things now that I am out of school. Especially, not having studio space to use with all the tools at my hands. A way for me to keep creating is to make handmade cards! I love mixed media, I am able to use that by creating cards. I love putting different elements into one card to make it look as one. Plus, this way I always have cards to give for those special occasions, that always seem to pop up! Which reminds me that it's my parents anniversary tmrw! I think I will use the first card below! If your ever looking for a handmade card, I would love to create one for you

November is National Blog Posting Month, Apparently
I just saw on my friend Lindsay's blog that November is National Blog Posting Month, 30 days 30 blog posts. She has challenged herself to do it, even when she will be in Mexico for a week and a half! SO I thought if she can do it, so can I! Let us hope! I love a good challenge! This also gives me an excuse to post things that I have been meaning to post for a while now. Like pictures I took when I was in Italy! Be looking for those. This will also get me to think creatively on what I am posting and make it interesting for the people that do view my blog! I hope it gets me out to taking more pictures as well! My biggest hope at the end of this month is to get me in the habit of posting things more often. We will see how it goes! Stay tuned! This is my post for today, I posted two things yesterday so let's say that counts for the 1st and 2nd of the month! So far, I am on track!

Katie and Meg
My sister works for Cargill INC. she had to donate an auction item for an auction they were having, so she asked me to donate a photography session. That is how I met this great family. Christine bid on my session and got it! She asked me to photograph her two daughters. They were so cute and loved smiling for the camera! Christine loves close ups of her girls faces, so I worked on getting great expressions in their faces. We started taking some photos in their backyard which was a nice wooded area. We then moved to a park in downtown Wayzata, which was near Lake Minneatonka. Christine wanted to make use of the great fall colors, it was a little hard to find since we didn't have much of a Fall! But we manged to find a bunch of leaves on the ground and got some fun photos playing in the leaves! I had a great time with photographing your girls! Thanks agian!
