Date Day!

Normally, I don't post things about my personal life. I try to keep my blog all about my photography and my business, KMW Photography. But...I had such a fun date day with my boyfriend Justin, I just had to post the photos I took during the day! Also, I think everyone should go on this date!

We started our day in Linden Hills at a great restaurant, Zumbro. I had eggs, bacon, red potatoes , and toast. Justin had buttermilk pancakes. The food is so good and from local farms, even better! I loved how Linden Hills is decorated for christmas! On the way to the car I snapped a few pictures of the decorations.

Next we headed to Macy's downtown, to see The Day in the Life of an Elf on the 8th floor. Amazing! Added bonus: it's free!!! Even better when you find a parking spot on the street and since its Sunday no meters are enforced! Walking through the exhibit really put me in the Christmas Spirit! I really recommend going to the 8th floor for a fun, free activity!

Although, the 8th floor exhibit is a lot of fun...it also goes by way to fast! All of a sudden we were at the end. So we decided to head down to the 1st floor of Macy's and check out their Holiday Lane. Holiday Lane is a corner of the 1st floor that they make into a little store of all their Christmas ornaments and decorations. I loved looking at all the decorated themed trees. Holiday Lane made me feel like I was in a Christmas Wonder Land!

We then headed to Barnes and Noble on the Nicollet Mall, where I wanted to check out a Photoshop CS4 book. Someone wrote out Vikings Won with the game banana grams (which I have not played but looks like fun)! They must have known we were going to win! We headed home after Barnes and Noble to watch the game and low and behold we won, 36 to 10 against the Bears! WOO HOO! A great way to end a perfect day!

Dinner Party at the Broders! Day after Thanksgiving

We had another lovely evening with the Broders. Of course I had to bring my camera because I knew I would get some great photos! I just love the food they make, all their dish-ware, and the endless opportunity of still-lifes.

Keeping up!

Keeping up with this November national Blog month is so hard!!!! Especially, since I had 7 photo sessions to edit! Which I am very very grateful for! When I sent out a special on photo sessions my goal was to at least get 5 sessions booked! I got 7!!! I was so happy! Editing takes time, which caused me to not be posting things every day on my blog! Like I was supposed to be doing. So now I have to play catch up. Which is causing me to be stuck at what to post! I do not have any new things to post, to date anyway, since I am now all caught up with posting my 7 photo sessions. Which is a good thing! I do have my trip to Italy for a couple of years ago that I could post. Maybe I will do that, not sure yet. Some things I have learned since starting this National Blog month.

1. I do not like writing titles! I can never think of something new and fresh or eye catching!

2. Writing has never been my thing and never will be! I never know what to say or how much to say for my blog posts. I think something has to be said for each blog post though, in order to explain and get the feel of the photo shoot or what pictures I am presenting! I am a talker and love to talk...but trying to put that in writing is impossible for me!

3. This is true for anything in life but once your behind it is so hard to keep up!

4. For 30 days it is hard to come up with something to post each new day and have it be exciting and fun to look at! Have to keep my readers interested! I have no idea how the blogs I look at everyday comes up with new things!

So with that said, I think this National blog post month is smart to do; to learn things about how you want your blog to be. Especially, when you are a new comer to the blog world like me! I will keep up with my blog posts and at least get 30 posts in 30 days, just not a new one everyday for those 30 days! I think that counts right? To me it does! I hope you continue to visit my blog and enjoy my pictures! You just don't always have to read what I say! The pictures should speak for themselves! Thanks!

Snow Baby!

Danielle and I go way back! We grew up going to the same church and spent many, many summers together up at our church camp in Lutsen. I was so excited when she asked me to photograph her, her boyfriend, and her baby girl. They are such a cute Family! Maddie is just adorable. I love the photos of her with her hood up, I think she looks like a little snow baby! I also really like the photos of just Danielle and Dan, they just look so happy together! Dan is a landscaper! It was so much fun walking around the Peace garden and having him tell us what every single tree and plant was! I learned a lot! It was so great to see you Danielle and to meet your family! You little girl is a just adorable! Thanks again!
