Fashion Shoot at the W hotel

I will be photographing an event called Project Ego Trip at the W hotel, downtown Minneapolis, this Saturday! I am super excited for the event and the opportunity that comes with it! Project Ego Trip is a dinner, fashion show, and party through the Black Student Union at the University of Minneasota. Earlier this month I went to the W and had a fashion shoot with some of the models that will be in the fashion show. Here are some of the photos from that day...

Hunt and Gather

I visited this great store a couple of weeks ago. Hunt and Gather is located in south Minneapolis on 50th and Xerxes. They allow you to take photos in their store, if you ask. It was a big treat for me! It was great to be able to get some fun photographs in the middle of winter. It can be hard for a photographer during winter to come up with new and creative ways to get out and photograph! I was very grateful to them to let me hunt around for found object photos! If you haven't been to this store yet you need to go now!!!

Conservatory

This past weekend I went to the Como Zoo Conservatory with my mom and sister. They had their annual Poinsettia display in their Sunken Garden. It was beautiful! I loved looking at all the many different colors and names of the plant like: eggnog and cinnamon. We also walked through the other gardens. There was so many Lady Slippers (my moms favorite) in so many different colors. Growing up I would also take photos of flowers, that is how I got interested in photography. I have millions of photos of flowers! I never know what to do with them though! If you have any ideas let me know! I suggest going to the Conservatory and just take in the beauty of all the flowers and plants.
